Senior Node.js Engineer (Node.js, TypeScript) |Remote/Berlin | Finance

We've partnered with a leading payment processing company that specializes in providing businesses with a wide range of payment solutions, including in-store and online payments, point-of-sale systems, and risk management.

Their aim is to simplify payment processing for businesses with scalable solutions and they are currently seeking a backend engineer with a focus on Node.js to join their pragmatic and driven team to help them to continue delivering reliable, efficient, and secure payment processing solutions to their clients.

Here's what they can offer:

• Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
• Start Date: 17/04/2023 OR ASAP
• Location: Remote (Within Europe / CET +2/-2) - preferably someone based within Germany.
• Pay: Hourly rate is flexible depending on seniority/expectations.

Here's what they're asking for:

• Minimum of 6 years experience in application design and testing using Node.js and modern JavaScript
• Ideally, 3+ years working within a Freelance / B2B capacity
• Experience building high scalability SaaS systems using microservices architecture
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with databases, including SQL with PostgreSQL and NoSQL
• Knowledge and experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably GCP or AWS
• Familiarity with Docker orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes
• Understanding of implementing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Work independently throughout the entire backend stack with minimal supervision
• Effective + Flexible English communication skills (Read/Speak/Write), German is a big plus
