GCP DevOps Engineer

NB: For this role we are only considering engineers already located within the Netherlands as we cannot provide relocation.

Are you a skilled Devops engineer with a focus on gitlab and release pipelines? Are you experienced with building a CI/CD platform, which can be used "as a service" for all the engineers in the company? My client, a market leader in energy meta data management platforms, is looking for a DevOps/CI CD engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a technical self-starter who can help them maintain their systems on Google cloud whilst updating and extending their usage of gitlab to all engineers in the company.

I'm looking for someone who:

• Has extensive experience on setting up a CI/CD platform in a company and influencing engineers to get the most out of it
• Understand the SDLC and can create fast feedback loops for developers, when merging and committing code.
• Has experience with container orchestration (GKE) and is good at managing containers (Kubernetes).
• Has experience using google cloud (GCP) and/or other public cloud providers.
• Is proficient in scripting, either through Bash and/or Python.
• Has a developer's mentality of problems solving and breaking complexity into small pieces of achievable work

Who is interested in:

• Leading the company in their pursuit for an automated release management suite.
• Providing guidance to the software engineering team on CI/CD related matters.
• Solving challenges related to artefact orchestration, security and automation of pipeline processes.
• Making the system more robust and scalable.
