Freelance Embedded Engineer – Hybrid

Key Information:

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Working Hours: Full-Time

Remote Possibility: Hybrid - 2/3 Days a week. (Potential for Remote in 4/6 Months time depending on experience)

Location: Leuven, Belgium

Contract Length - 6 Months (High chance of extension)

Language Skills: Great English Skills

Description:

Wi-Fi:

1. Developing a uniform management middleware for multiple Wi-Fi vendor solutions.

2. Developing smart WiFi services, such as Client Steering and Channel Selection.

3. Debugging customer WiFi issues across the entire stack.

Networking:

1. General Linux Networking.

2. Developing a management middleware taking into account the specific architectures of the SystemOnChip.

3. Developing a management middleware for different WAN technologies.

Skills:

* Programming languages: C/C++, Unix Shell Programming; other languages are a plus.

* Embedded Linux and its tools needed.

* Good knoweldge of networking protocols, network programming, client-server applications.

* Great understanding of tools used for software development, such as Gitlab, Docker, Jira…

* Experienced with gateway software stacks for example OpenWRT.
