Role Overview:
As a Computer Vision Contractor, you will play a crucial role in a 4-month project, with the possibility of extension, working on exciting computer vision initiatives. You will collaborate with a talented team of engineers, researchers, and domain experts to develop and implement computer vision algorithms, models, and systems. Your expertise in computer vision, deep learning, and image processing will contribute directly to the success of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement computer vision algorithms and models for various applications.
- Develop and optimize image processing techniques, including object detection, recognition, and tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
- Collect and curate datasets, and perform data preprocessing and augmentation.
- Train and fine-tune deep learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Conduct thorough performance evaluations and iterate on models for continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning research.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and results effectively to the team and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in computer vision projects, preferably in areas such as object detection, image segmentation, or image recognition.
- Strong programming skills in Python, along with experience in using relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, scikit-image).
- Solid understanding of deep learning concepts and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proficiency in image processing techniques, feature extraction, and pattern recognition.
- Experience with dataset creation, annotation, and curation.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based computer vision platforms (e.g., AWS Rekognition, Google Cloud Vision API).
- Familiarity with edge computing and optimization for real-time computer vision applications.
- Knowledge of 3D computer vision techniques and frameworks (e.g., Open3D, PCL).
- Experience with deploying computer vision models to production environments.
- Contributions to open-source computer vision projects.
