Grid Connection Specialist

My client is an innovative renewable energy firm focused on harnessing wind power for a sustainable future. They're currently seeking a Grid Connection specialist to play a crucial role in the successful integration of wind energy projects into the grid. In addition to grid connectivity, you'll be responsible for optimising energy transmission and contributing to the growth of renewable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute grid connection strategies for wind energy projects

· Assess technical and regulatory requirements for grid integration, permits, and compliance

· Manage communication and coordination with grid operators, utilities, and regulatory bodies

· Develop and maintain comprehensive grid connection plans, including substation design and electrical infrastructure

· Troubleshoot and resolve grid connection challenges to maximize energy production and minimise downtime

· Stay up-to-date with industry standards and emerging grid connection technologies to enhance project performance

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field

· Proven experience in grid connection for wind energy projects

· Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards

· Familiarity with grid modelling and simulation tools (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT)

· Willingness to travel to project sites as required
