I am working with a leading global engineering contractor who operate internationally and are pioneers in various technologies and innovations when it comes to chemicals, energy and sustainability.
From working on robotic catalyst removal to the world's longest ever pipeline to engineering the largest carbon capture plant of its type, the range of projects available are vast.
Position
Job Overview:
As a Project Engineer for Plant Construction, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and successful completion of chemical plant construction projects. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of project management, engineering, and coordination to drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain project plans and schedules, ensuring all activities are executed according to the project timeline.

Engineering Design: Collaborate with the engineering team to review and approve design plans, ensuring they meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Budget Management: Assist in budget preparation, monitor project costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality.

Resource Allocation: Coordinate the allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth project operations.

Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes to guarantee that construction activities meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.

Permitting and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits and regulatory approvals are obtained and adhered to throughout the project.

Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams, providing regular updates on project progress.

Safety: Promote a culture of safety on-site and enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, reports, and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably in plant construction.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- EPCm experience
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
