Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Siemens Gamesa Qualified Heavy Lift Lead to join our growing team. As a Heavy Lift Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the installation and maintenance of wind turbines, ensuring safe and efficient heavy lift operations across our projects. Responsibilities:

  • Lead heavy lift operations, overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of turbine installation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, and field technicians to ensure seamless heavy lift operations aligned with project timelines.
  • Perform on-site assessments to determine lift requirements, identify potential risks, and develop comprehensive lift plans.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies during all heavy lift activities.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of technicians and riggers, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and optimization of heavy lift procedures, leveraging your Siemens Gamesa expertise to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Actively participate in problem-solving and troubleshooting efforts to address technical challenges that may arise during heavy lift operations.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to heavy lift activities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Siemens Gamesa Qualified Heavy Lift Technician, with a strong track record of successful heavy lift operations within the wind energy sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Siemens Gamesa turbine models, components, and installation/maintenance procedures.
  • Relevant certifications for heavy lift operations and rigging.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to safety as a top priority, with a thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
  • Flexibility to travel to various project sites as required.
