Technical lead

Key Responsibilities

Ultimately responsible for the codebase in the specific product area. Discussing and designing the architecture with other engineers across multiple teams. Deep understanding of the business domain and present during high-level product decisions to provide the technical voice of the product area.

Main tasks

• Single Point of Contact for your product portfolio
• Contribute to Statements of Work (SoW's) for customers.
• Work closely with the Head of Technology and other key players in Engineering
• Design solutions in line with strategies
• Make decisions on system improvements, replacements, or deprecations.
• Estimate the scope of work and assign tasks to the team.
• Review and manage service requests to the product portfolio from the customers.
• Verify that documentation is written for change logs, install guides, upgrade guides, configurations, and patches.
• Ensure that the products the team builds are tested in controlled in real situations.
• Maintain the same systems once they are in production.
• Contribute to backlog tasks assigned to the team when time permits.

Technology stack

• JavaScript / Typescript, but also some Java for certain services
• Frontend framework: React
• Backend framework: Node, Express, and some Java experience.
