We're actively seeking an Electrical Engineer who has an interest within offshore wind farms, dredging & major infrastructure developments!
As an Electronic Engineer you'll play a pivotal role supporting our ongoing projects, participate in the development of new services and contribute to continuous innovation of our online monitoring stations. You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a dedicated and highly skilled team of 11 colleagues, which includes other electrical engineers and a variety of other engineers and scientists.
It is essential that you reside in or around the Copenhagen area.
Responsibilities
- Designing, constructing, deploying, and maintaining online hydrographic and oceanographic monitoring systems.
- Troubleshooting hardware issues, even down to the component level, on measurement systems.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with instrument suppliers and service providers.
Skills and Qualifications
- A background in Electronic Engineering, either with a B.Sc., M.Sc., or a similar qualification.
- Alternatively, you may have experience as an electronics technician with a background in marine survey work.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages (we primarily use Matlab, Python, C++, Basic, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- The ability to problem-solve effectively, even under pressure.
- A collaborative spirit, actively contributing to teamwork and knowledge-sharing.
- Flexibility regarding travel, as the job may require occasional short-notice trips (typically lasting 1-3 days); fieldwork will account for approximately 10-20% of the role.
- The capability to obtain and maintain STCW certificates, including a medical certificate, survival at sea, and first aid.
- Comfort and familiarity with working on vessels at sea.
Bonus qualifications
- More than three years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with marine survey operations and monitoring techniques.
- Fluency in Danish, German, and/or other Northern European languages.
- Experience in the use and/or maintenance of ADCP's, CTD's, wave buoys, or other water quality instruments.
