My client is on a mission to reduce the global greenhouse gases by providing solutions for the production of green hydrogen. They are stepping into the electrolysis market and gowing a new business segment for the company over the next few years!

The technology roadmap includes going to market with a proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysis process.

The company has experience in turnkey and EPC projects globally and close connection to Green Hydrogen customers.

Your Prospective Role

As a valued member of the executive team within the Green Hydrogen division, you will actively contribute to its developmental initiatives. Your key responsibility will lie in fostering the growth of gross margins across a spectrum of global green hydrogen customer projects. In this capacity, you will lead the advancement of worldwide Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project execution capabilities, particularly concentrating on Europe, Northern America, and Latin America. Your scope will encompass a variety of critical functions:

• Project management: Skillfully overseeing project timelines, change management, and risk assessment.
• Contractual affairs: Efficiently managing contracts, claims, and interactions with essential sub-contractors.
• Supply chain expertise: Collaborating with the group to navigate Inspection & Expediting, Procurement & Logistics.
• Electrolyzer stack delivery: Ensuring quality management and timely delivery.
• High-stakes negotiations: Undertaking major negotiations with customers, principal suppliers, and pivotal sub-contractors during project delivery and warranty phases.
• Conceptualization and staffing: Formulating and approving project execution strategies and team structures within green hydrogen proposals.
• Global project oversight: Orchestrating regular worldwide project assessments, predictive forecasting, non-conformance reporting, and preemptive risk mitigation, followed by timely corrective measures.
• Human resource development: Assisting in the recruitment, nurturing, mentorship, and coaching of personnel.
• Strategic resource management: Strategically balancing workloads, recognizing resource and quality limitations, and suggesting appropriate remedial actions.
• Learning integration: Facilitating continuous improvement through the systematic integration of lessons learned.

Qualifications and Attributes You Bring

You possess an exceptional set of qualifications and characteristics:

• Over a decade (10+ years) of experience in distinguished international and multinational senior roles in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project management, with a preference for experience in the chemical plant engineering sector.
• A track record of successfully closing large-scale projects valued in the hundreds of millions of euros.
• Adept negotiation skills coupled with substantial experience in customer and sub-supplier management.
• A proactive, hands-on mindset coupled with the drive to cultivate execution capabilities from their inception.
• A personality that thrives on devising solutions, fostering teamwork, and prioritizing customer satisfaction, bolstered by strong leadership and cross-cultural communication proficiencies.
• Adept familiarity with an array of project management tools and processes.
• Fluent proficiency in the English language.
• A willingness to engage in frequent international travel.
• A degree-level qualification, ideally within an engineering discipline.
