Our esteemed mid-sized architectural and engineering firm, recognized for its exceptional proficiency in engineering planning and architectural surveying, is actively seeking a talented drafter/designer to join and enrich our dynamic team.
This position offers an exciting avenue for skill enhancement and career progression within a nurturing and forward-thinking organization. We are seeking an ideal candidate who demonstrates a high level of proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, MS Word, and Excel. The role primarily involves executing various electrical design and drafting tasks in adherence to established methodologies and industry benchmarks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in drafting technology or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associates' degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
- 1-3+ years of drafting experience with a focus on low voltage power distribution systems
- Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit (BIM)
- Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Prior internship and/or related consulting experience is advantageous
- Possession of a valid driver's license
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engage in electrical design covering power, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems
- Execute design tasks by applying essential electrical design principles while adhering to project-specific codes and guidelines
- Collaborate within a technical team to develop project deliverables, ranging from design documents to comprehensive technical reports
- Proficiently utilize CAD and Revit design software to produce engineering and design documents, meticulously following instructions from Engineers and incorporating mark-ups
- Contribute to the production process, offering essential support
- Potentially conduct field inspections
