They are looking to add a Senior Backend Engineer (Java) to their software engineering team.

Senior Backend Engineer - JAVA - The Assignment

Working under the guidance of the IT Manager, your role will be within the IT Application Development group. This team is dedicated to crafting customer-facing applications, concentrating on their creation and seamless integration. Your responsibilities encompass the following:

• Engaging in the conceptualization, creation, and deployment of intricate projects impacting the EMEA region, alongside the introduction of worldwide initiatives.
• Cooperating with fellow developers (both front-end and back-end) and Middleware Engineers to establish solutions that adhere to standards, possess scalability, and extensibility, and fulfil functional as well as non-functional prerequisites. Some travel may be necessary, primarily around Europe, and potentially to more distant locations.
• Utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework for enterprises, you will collaborate with diverse scrum teams, both situated onsite and offshore.

Senior Backend Engineer - JAVA - The Requirements

• A successful proven track record (5+ years) as Backend Software Engineer
• Skillset in Java (11/17), Webflux, Spring, Springboot, Microservices, Netty
• Expertise in containerization, API services, databases, CI/CD, messaging platforms, Git
• Fluent in English and strong communication skills with project stakeholders

• Hourly rate: 90 EUR fixed agreement
• Start date: 01/09/2023
• Offices near Amsterdam, possibly fully remote within the EU
